David Griffith (デイビッド・グリフィス) is a supporting character who appeared in 7th Dragon 2020 and 7th Dragon 2020-II.
He was the Secretary Of State under U.S. President Jack Muller's administration in 2020, later becoming the next President of the Temporary Governing Body the following year after the latter's demise.

| “ | Taking over from the late Jack Muller, he became the new President of the Temporary Governing Body. As he now bears the burden of keeping America's proud status as the world's number one on his shoulders, he cannot stand the fact that Murakumo is now an internationally renowned dragon hunting entity after prevailing against Mizuchi and Nyala, seeing the organization as a bitter rival that must be crushed. To this end, he dispatches SECT 11 to Japan under the pretense of assistance, but his actual motive is sabotage. SECT 11 would eventually disobey his increasingly unreasonable and inhuman orders, in turn earning him enemies in and out of the country. After the attack on the Diet Building, he abandons his nefarious plans and entrusts the surviving members of SECT 11 to Murakumo. | ” |

In 2020, David Griffith served as the Secretary Of State. He is first seen questioning President Muller's evacuation order, but was told off almost instantly.
He later volunteered to stay in the White House to the end, but President Muller tells him to leave for the sake of his wife and unborn daughter. He reluctantly accepts, and eventually becomes the new President when the first Dragon invasion ended.

- In his first appearance, David was known as "Secretary David" and had a generic elder politician NPC sprite. He only gets a unique sprite and profile illustration in 2020-II.
- In the Visual Collection's group illustration, the late President Muller and incumbent President Griffith are featured as just mughots, similar to how absentee students are integrated into class photographs.
