Roppongi Hills, now known as the Great Corrosive Falls Of Roppongi (六本木・腐食大瀑布, roppongi fushoku daibakufu ) is the fifth dungeon in 7th Dragon 2020-II.
History[]
“ | Back in peaceful times, this place was the most well-known high-rise mega-complex building in the capital, but was transformed into a dungeon when the Emperor Dragon Oceanus emerged. Its lengthy, serpentine body bore a hole on the earth, siphoning sewer water which was converted into a powerful corrosive liquid. The great acid waterfalls degraded the mega-complex corridors into a treacherous labyrinth, and rain summoned by the Emperor Dragon also threatens to melt away the outer walls of the nearby Diet Building. | ” |

Chapter 2[]
Following the failed retrieval mission in the Hachiouji Sewer Tunnels, Emel orders Unit 13 to facilitate the construction of the Research Ward in the Diet Building in order to improve the radar system and hopefully locate the missing Dragon Slayer weapon before SECT 11 gets the chance to try and steal it again.
The radar detects a signal around Shibuya, and Unit 13 was to coordinate with SKY for assistance in tracking it. Rain suddenly falls before they could depart. The drops were not water, but an otherworldly acid that was over 20 times more potent than the strongest corrosive substance on Earth to the extent that it could quickly melt away human flesh. An emergency rescue operation was conducted where Unit 13 braved the acid rain to get the civilians to the Diet's Entrance Hall.
The freak disaster claimed five lives and left twenty-five people severely injured and disfigured.
Shizuka then reports that the source of the deadly rainfall was at the rooftop of Roppongi Hills. The structure was taken over by an Emperor Dragon and the area of its influence was within a 10-kilometer radius. It was eventually revealed that the acid was actually sewer water which the Emperor Dragon converted using its bodily secretions. Emel concludes that unless the Dragon is dealt with quickly, the resulting volume of rain will gradually degrade the Diet Building and flood the underground levels, jeopardizing the evacuation wards and other facilities. Though well aware that Unit 13 would be endangering their lives in the process, she nonetheless commands them to infiltrate Roppongi Hills immediately and make the acid rain stop, even providing them an armored personnel carrier to get to the scene unscathed.
The ascent was far from smooth, since aside from having to wade through stinging pools inside the building, Unit 13 also witnessed yet another tragedy as a civilian refugee fell into insanity stemming from complete despair, opting to end their own life by bathing in the corrosive substance. Himuro and the Unit 10 trainees also felt disheartened due to a failed rescue attempt in the same area.
Unit 13 unwittingly runs into three SECT 11 operatives engaged in combat with the Emperor Dragon's tails on the 18th floor. However, they also fell victim to the strong acid and were left incapacitated. Unit 13 took over and managed to destroy the tails, picking up a sample in the process. They later chose to ignore Emel's orders and took the injured soldiers back to the Diet for medical treatment.
Though met with protests from Unit 13 and the other Murakumo operatives, Emel insists that the source of the rain (the Emperor Dragon later identified as "Oceanus") must be stopped as soon as possible, and was also considering mobilizing the SDF to serve as backup despite the extreme risks involved.
Having finally snapped out of depression from his debilitating injury, Kirino interrupts the group's argument and expresses his desire to help. Using the tail sample obtained from Oceanus, Kirino pulls an all-nighter with the Factory Division to develop the Nano-Coat, a special piece of equipment that nullifies damage caused by the acid. The Nano-Coats were then distributed to the Murakumo and SDF operatives engaged in infiltration, fortification, and rescue operations.
Unit 13 was eventually able to slay Oceanus. The rain stopped, though the flow of liquid in the building remained.
