Kokubunji, now known as the Kokubunji Scorching Factory (国分寺・灼熱砂房, kokubunji shakunetsu sabou) is a recurring location in 7th Dragon 2020 and 7th Dragon 2020-II.

History

“	Following the Emperor Dragon Trinitro's attack, a part of Kokubunji's environment degraded into a desert. Though this phenomenon alone was already a considerable disaster, a structure meant to intentionally pollute the area further was also created in the form of a gigantic factory. Inside, legions of mechanical dragons are manufactured day in and day out. As a result, it has turned into a scorching den of dragons where human life can no longer be sustained.	”

Chapter 4 (2020)

After a long exodus through the winding Tokyo Subway Tunnels, Unit 13 finally arrives in Kokubunji, as it was suspected that another Emperor Dragon resided within. When they arrive, the team is held aghast at what the area has become: a complete wasteland of sand.

• In 2020, dragons hiding underground in the desert section will emerge if the party gets close to them. In 2020-II, initiating a monster battle is necessary to lure them out.
