Lucier (ルシェ, rushe )is a recurring half human, half beast race in the 7th Dragon series.
Appearance[]
Female Luciers have cat ears while male Luciers have pointy ears (like elf ears).
History[]
7th Dragon[]
The people of Lucier created the Nevanplace Empire. They also have their own language, Lucier language. The female Lucier are featured in the Princess, Samurai, Fighter, and Mage Classes. The male Lucier are featured in the Rogue, Healer, and Knight Classes.
7th Dragon 2020-II[]
Luciers were inhabitants of the undersea kingdom of Atlantis well over a million years ago. The kingdom collapsed from a dragon invasion even though the Luciers possessed unusual powers and knowledge of alchemy to forge a dragon-slaying weapon made from a unique mineral compound. Dragon Hunters turned the tide of the conflict and eventually prevailed with the Lucier-made weapon.
In 2021, artificial Luciers were created by Emel during her time as Murakumo's temporary commander via an S-Class genetic infusion process similar to the one used by former chairperson Natsume Hikasa. Out of all the Lucier clones, Marina was the only one that properly inherited the ATL Code, an algorithm gleaned from the memory of the late queen of Atlantis. This makes her the sole living Lucier in the present era with the ability to forge the Dragon Slaying Sword.
The remaining Luciers lacking the ATL Code can eventually be trained and recruited as new members of Unit 13 when the right conditions are met.
7th Dragon III Code:VFD[]
Lucier from Atlantis and Eden were evacuated to Tokyo by Nodens' Unit 13 in UE77 as part of their time traveling exploits to create the Dragon Chronicle.
The side quest "A Tokyo Lucier" reveals that the artificial Lucier were protected by Murakumo for some time before being taken into the care of the World Relief Corps. By UE77, a Lucier city-state in "a mountainous inland area" had been established, possibly marking the formation of the Nevanplace Empire. A Lucier member of the World Relief Corps named Rant visits Nodens headquarters to observe the Lucier housed there and ensure they aren't being mistreated or experimented on. She also invites the Lucier of Atlantis to immigrate to the Lucier country if they so choose.
