Marunouchi Station, now known as the Marunouchi Disjointed Dimension (丸ノ内・亜空断層, marunouchi akuu dansou) is the second dungeon in 7th Dragon 2020-II.

History

“	The area where the first dragon hunt for Tiamat took place after the Dragon disaster brought about by Formalhout in 2021. The once busy commuting hub known as Marunouchi Station became totally filled with crystal prism thorns glowing in numerous vibrant hues that were beyond what nature could produce, blocking off many segments of its labyrinthine corridors. Dead space also lines the entire area, making the once routine trek to station platforms severely treacherous.	”

Chapter 1

The unconscious members of Unit 13 finally awaken 3 days after their first confrontation with the True Dragon Formalhout at the Tokyo Sky Tower. During that time, the Dragons under his control have taken over majority of Tokyo save for the Diet Building.

Through Shizuka, Emel briefs Unit 13 on their situation immediately after recovery: At present, their number one priority is to keep the Diet secure, and the closest area that needs to be liberated as soon as possible to accomplish this was Marunouchi Station. Said area had its dimensional fabric totally distorted with dead space and thorn-laden crystalline stems akin to that found in roses lining the environment. The concentration of Dragonsbane around Marunouchi also threatened to encroach on humanity's solitary bastion.

Well aware that Unit 13 was not at full strength yet, Emel initially tasks them with obtaining 3 Dz for securing equipment before joining Unit 10 (now led by Himuro) and SDF in the exploration and clearing operation.

Midway through the mission, Rin Dojima and the other SDF soldiers on the platform area run into the Emperor Dragon Tiamat by accident, but were somehow able to hold out until Unit 13 arrived. Unfortunately, even the legendary team was no match for the fearsome dragon, leaving them with no choice but to retreat.

The US-based Special Forces group SECT 11 finally reports in, meant to serve as ostensible reinforcements for the dragon slaying campaign as per the current US President David Griffith's orders. However, their leader Shouji Sakuraba declares that SECT 11 will be acting independently from Murakumo and the SDF, which infuriates Emel. She then commands Unit 13 to follow SECT 11 to Marunouchi in case something goes wrong.

The progress of SECT 11 was quite fast, since their second-in-command Izumi Sakuraba made short work of the dragons that were in the way.

Shouji and Izumi soon make it to where Tiamat was. Even with their well-coordinated tactics and aggressive approach, the fight with the Emperor Dragon was tough and dragged on longer than expected. Shouji suggested that they regroup since he was out of ammunition. Unit 13 intervenes with new orders from Emel to confront and slay the now battle-worn Tiamat, which they carried out successfully.
