“ | Descendants of the singing princesses who live in the southern seas. Their singing voices give their friends encouragement, and steal away the strength of their foes. With enough time, they can even control the thoughts of all around them. | ” |

Princess (プリンセス) is a class in 7th Dragon. It is the only class that is female-exclusive.
Overview[]
The Princess is one of the game's main support classes and the 2nd fastest class after Rogue. They have the ability to raise ATK with Scorching Rhyme (灼熱の韻) and DEF with Solid Rhyme (堅牢の韻), as well as heal and regenerate LIFE and MANA over time with Song of the Wind and Trees (風と木の詩) and Song of the Moonlight (月明かりの詩). Princesses can use Lullaby of Rippling Waters (細波の子守唄) to overwrite some status ailments. Otherwise they can control enemies with Whip skills and Request skills, and also lock down enemies with Evil Voice skills.
Despite being a support-focused class, their damage potential is nothing to scoff at. Punishment Whipping (咎罰鞭打) is a skill that deal massive damage when the caster has low LIFE. Their two EX skills, Angelica Cage (アンゼリカケージ) and Demonic Cage (デモニックケージ), are very useful in combination with other classes. Whips deals Slashing damage and they also, albeit at the expense of SP, have the ability to increase the amount of EXP obtained thanks to Teaching of the Queens (女王の教え).
Strategy[]
Princesses are very SP intense, so you might not get Teaching of the Queens. If you have another class that relies on React, you can pick up Princess React (プリンセスリアクト) to give her some extra turns. If you have a Knight you can use Princess Order (プリンセスオーダー) and Save the Queen (セイブザクイーン).
Holy Voice Princesses are buffers. First pick up Cure (キュア) at Lv. 5 so she can heal. It is recommended to start in this order: Cure Lv. 1 (raise it when it doesn't heal enough) → Noble Mastery (ノーブルマスタリー) Lv. 10 → Song of the Moonlight Lv. 7 → Lullaby of Rippling Waters Lv. 1 → Scorching Rhyme/Solid Rhyme Lv. 1 → Song of the Moonlight Lv. 10 → Song of the Wind and Trees Lv. 10 (If you want) → Scorching Rhyme/Solid Rhyme Lv. 5. For the latter you can take both and, if you want, you can max them too. Take Song of the Wind of Trees if you have a good party with high DEF. After that level up Training Master (調教マスタリー) and Training Whip (調教鞭打) to Lv. 1 to increase her ATK. Pick up Cure II (キュアⅡ) at Lv. 5 if Cure does not heal enough. If your party relies on magical damage or status ailments pick up Angelica Cage. When you are done with all that the Princess can learn Evil Voice skills, Whip skills or Punishment Whipping.
Evil Voice Princesses are masters in inflicting status ailments. First pick up Cure at Lv. 5 so she can heal. Level up Fear Mastery at Lv. 3 and max Temptation of Fainting (昏倒の誘い) or Temptation of Madness (乱心の誘い) for all kind of enemies. Temptation of Fainting inflicts Sleep and Temptation of Madness inflicts Confuse. If you like extra damage and want to lock down them 100% then take Temptation of Fainting. If you want to both lock down enemy skills and attack at the same time then use Temptation of Madness. You can pick up Shriek of Falling Leaves (落葉金切り) or Piercing Scream (絶叫金切り) if you want. If you have a Masked Pain Rogue, max Temptation of Revenge (報復の誘い) to inflict Pain Counters. After you're done with that, you can pick up Demonic Cage (although it won't help the Evil Voice Princess to inflict her debuffs). After you are done with that you can take her to another direction (Holy Voice skills, Punishment Whipping etc.). The weakness of this build is that most dragons and bosses have resistance against her skills, so you might want Angelica Cage or an Axe Fighter to be effective. She will also need lots of SPD in order to act first.
Whipping Princesses wants to 100% lock down enemies with Fear. First pick up Cure Lv. 5 so she can heal. It is essential to max Training Mastery (調教マスタリー) and Training Whip (調教鞭打). When you have raised Training Whip to Lv. 5 take a Request skill (Suicide, Betrayal or Protection). The Request skills will drop 2 MANA for each level you raise it, so level it up to level 4 for 2 MANA or level 5 for 0 MANA. Request: Betrayal (リクエスト『離反』) is most recommended. With Request: Suicide (リクエスト『自決』) the enemy will only attack themselves, while Betrayal will make the enemy also attack their allies. Request: Protection (リクエスト『守護』) is dangerous if not used right. You'll need to both provoke and inflict fear to use it. After that you can take her wherever you want (Holy Voice, Punishment Whipping etc.). Though, like Evil Voice, most dragons and bosses have resistance to Fear, so you might want Angelica Cage or an Axe Fighter. Their EX skill, Nine Tail (ナインテール), is not necessary. It is better to EX Training Whip.
Punishment Princesses aims to have as low LIFE as possible. First pick up Cure Lv. 5 so she can heal. Level up Fear Mastery (フィアーマスタリー), Training Mastery and Training Whip to Lv. 3 so you can obtain Punishment Whipping. After that max it as fast as possible. After you are done with Punishment Whipping max Training Mastery. Now you can take and raise skills as you please (Holy Voice, Evil Voice etc.). At 1 LIFE Punishment Whipping will deal massive damage, but the Princess is prone to die unless there is a Guardian Knight, thus is the Guardian Knight mandatory. It will always hit, even if you are blinded and it totally ignores ATK and DEF buffs/debuffs. Another thing to keep in mind is that the higher the Princess' max LIFE is, the more powerful Punishment Whipping is, so be sure to equip LIFE increasing equipment. Remember, the skill is very MANA intensive so you might want Song of the Moonlight or a Healer with Craft Mana (クラフトマナ).
