History[]
“ | After the dragon invasion, dense foliage engulfed the Shibuya area, turning it into a complete wilderness. With its various structures and shops, many people somehow managed to hide out and survive. The anti-Murakumo group known as SKY established their community in this very spot. Large tree roots have blocked off many streets and alleyways, significantly reducing accessible parts of Center Gai, Dogenzaka and Shibuya Street as a result. | ” |

Chapter 1.5 (2020)[]
Several days after the successful liberation and renovation of the Metropolitan Government Building, Unit 13 is sent on their next mission: to investigate the Shibuya area, slay dragons for Dz, and rescue any survivors found within.
A month since the dragons took over, plant life in Shibuya grew at an alarming rate, with giant tree roots rendering many main streets and alleys impassable. For some reason, there were also man-made barricades littered in a handful of areas. Upon arriving at the crosswalk near the symbolic 109 building and dispatching the two dragons skulking about, Unit 13 finds that only the left pathway leading to Dogenzaka was accessible. The right-hand road leading to Shibuya Street and Center Gai had a barricade which the SDF was busy dismantling.
As they go deep into the Dogenzaka area, Unit 13 runs into a couple of youths named Ino and Guchi who threaten them with violence unless they give up whatever foodstuffs and liquor they may be carrying. Undaunted, the trio was able to drive them away. They soon find a dragon cornering two young women in a back alley, stepping in just in time to put the reptilian predator down. One of them introduces herself as Aoi Unose. Chairman Natsume reacts to the name and asks NAV 3.6 to compare her identity to their database records. It turns out that Aoi was an S-Class candidate meant to attend the 74th Induction Exam, but reported to have blown it off. Natsume then asks Unit 13 to escort Aoi back to the Metropolitan Building, as an S-Class youth would be a significant addition to their ranks especially after the recent loss of Nagare.
Before they could do so, Neko and Daigo emerge. The latter apologizes to Unit 13 for Ino and Guchi's unwarranted actions, assuring them that the boss is giving the two ruffians a good tongue-lashing. He follows it up with a stern warning that since SKY considers Shibuya as their home ground, any trouble that outsiders make here will be met with an equally troublesome response. Neko adds that this particularly applies to Murakumo, as they consider the organization a hated enemy. The two members of SKY take their leave afterward.
The following day, Unit 13 returns to Shibuya with new orders from Natsume: Infiltrate Shibuya Street and hunt down the members of SKY in the area. They were not too keen on having to fight other humans, but Natsume insists that there's no room for a third party in the ongoing war against the dragons. Any entity seeking to bar their progress must be dealt with for mankind's survival. The right-hand barrier has since been completely broken down by the SDF, allowing them passage.
Making their way to Center Gai, Unit 13 dispatches more dragons, saving injured SDF personnel and some SKY members in the process. Ino and Guchi were also lying in wait near the group's hideout, challenging the trio to a rematch with the same result as the day before.
Neko and Daigo were none too pleased that Unit 13 chose to ignore their warning and a face-off ensues. SKY's leader Takehaya soon appears, putting a stop to the fight. He smugly assures them that as long as Murakumo keeps away from Shibuya, then SKY would not cause them any trouble. Takehaya also expresses disgust at Natsume's "SKY Hunting" mission and tells Unit 13 that they don't know anything about the person they're taking orders from, later extending an invitation in jest for Unit 13 to join SKY. After Takehaya's group departs, the navigator declares the mission a failure since Unit 13 was unwilling to pursue them further. When a distress signal from the SDF platoon dispatched to the Tokyo Subway Tunnels suddenly came in, the navigator tells Unit 13 to abort the Shibuya mission and proceed to the Kokubunji Subway entrance post-haste.

Trivia[]
- The dungeon name is a play on words in Japanese, since Shibuya went from being a bustling shopping town (繁華街, hanka gai ) to a dense flowery wilderness (繁花樹海, hanka jukai ) as a result of the dragon invasion.
