The Scaver (ザ・スカヴァー, za sukavaa) is an Emperor Dragon who occupied the Tokyo Subway Tunnels in 7th Dragon 2020.
Abilities[]
The Scaver mainly burrows around the subway tunnels but for some reason, none of them collapse. Apart from Dragonsbane, a number of alien plant species flourish around caverns that it has created. There are also vertical tunnels that lead to other rooms, some of which are hidden. After digging for a period of time, the Emperor Dragon will go to sleep, blocking access to certain passageways.

| “ | Since it would be a lengthy dragon making a nest in subway tunnels, I decided on a design that blended the "Shinkansen" train and a caterpillar. The first rough draft lacked the Shinkansen concept and had a bulkier form to it. In the end, I went with the appearance of a creature that would somehow not look strange when speeding through a station platform. If The Scaver had hatchlings, I would imagine them forming a fleet that would occupy every single subway station. Since the game screen cannot fully show the dragon due to its sheer size, it does not have any minutely detailed patterns and other distinguishing features. | ” |

Etymology[]
"Scaver" has no given meaning in any language. It may have been derived from scavenger, a creature that collects unwanted things or feeds off the remains of dead animals.
Trivia[]
- The Scaver holds the distinction of having 3 total fights (tail, midsection and head), but the Phantom Capital battle is only with the head part.
